Six neighbourhood parks to appear in Moscow’s southeast in 2015

Six neighbourhood parks will be created in the Southeastern Administrative Area in 2015, the area’s Prefect Vladimir Zotov said.

“Six green areas in the administrative area will receive the status of neighbourhood parks, including the pedestrian area in the 14th residential area of Maryinsky Park in the Lyublino District, the garden square near building No. 2 on Krasnokazarmennaya Street in Lefortovo, the green area in front of building No. 12 on Khlobystova Street in Vykhino-Zhulebino, the Lyublino Culture Centre within the borders of Kurskaya, Stavropolskaya, Lyublinskaya and Kubanskaya streets, the green area on 1st Novokuzminskaya Street near building 16/1 in the Ryazansky District and the Klimov Garden Square on Soldatskaya Street in the Lefortovo District,” the prefect said.

The total area of the new parks will amount to 9.4 hectares, the arrangement of 2.3 of which will be financed by the city and 7.1, by private investors.

In 2013-2014, 12 neighbourhood parks with a total area of almost 30 hectares were improved in the Southeastern Administrative Area, including in the Lefortovo, Lyublino, Ryazansky, Nekrasovka, Nizhegorodsky, Pechatniki, Kapotnya and Tekstilshchiki districts.
