Sports Complex to Appear in Gorky Park
A modern sports and recreation complex with "mirror" facades will appear in Gorky Park, said Sergey Kuznetsov, Chief Architect of Moscow, First Deputy Chairman of Moskomarkhitektura.
The sports and recreation center will be located in a reconstructed building located at the address: Krymskiy Val st., 9-25. The total area of the two-storey building will be about 1100 sq.m .
“Visually, the complex will be maximally integrated into the environment, for this the architects suggest using perforated metal panels with a mirror effect. Inside, in addition to the gyms, there will be a buffet, as well as administrative premises” - said Sergey Kuznetsov.
The complex retains the existing morphotype of the building, carefully fitting into the environment. Stylistically, it is similar to the Garage Museum of Contemporary Art. Eco-friendly materials are used in the decoration of the facades - triplex, metal panels, fiber-cement plates.
The space adjacent to the sports and recreation center will smoothly flow into the greened park area. A wooden flooring will be made in front of the main entrance, on which café tables will be located in warm weather.
