A multifunctional sports complex in the neo brutalism style will open in Mnevnikovskaya Poima before the end of the year. Its facades are a white composition of large volumes made of white aluminum panels, said Chief Architect of Moscow, First Deputy of Chairman of Moskomarkhitektura Sergey Kuznetsov.

“The sports complex will have an interesting facade finish. The architects decided to arrange aluminum panels so that they resemble a monochrome tetris game. The building has a complex three-dimensional structure and is literally “stacked” from parts of different shapes and sizes. It is planned to commission the facility later this year,” specified Sergey Kuznetsov.

The sports center with a total area of about 20 thousand sq.m will be built at the following address: Nizhniye Mnevniki Street, 8. The three-storey building will accommodate extensive functionality: an indoor ice rink, gyms, in particular for martial arts, a pool with a basin of 25x16 meters, conference rooms, stands, a medical unit, etc. All halls will be equipped with locker rooms, showers and coaching rooms.

Design developed by KP UGS. The decoration will include aluminum panels and light-colored porcelain tiles.

The complex will have excellent transport accessibility due to the construction of Terekhovo transport hub, which will provide pedestrian access to social and transport infrastructure, and generally reduce the load on the transport network.
