A school in the shape of a six-petal flower will be built in Nagatinsky Zaton in the south of Moscow. According to the chief architect of Moscow Sergey Kuznetsov, it is designed for 550 students.

«As Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin said earlier, Moscow’s education remains one of the best in the country, developing year after year. The shape of the building in the form of a six-petal flower creates equal-sized volumes and elements from any perspective. In this case, the facade plasticity is achieved by alternating the dumb parts of the building, where the staircases, gyms and a cafeteria are located, with alternating glazing in the classroom area. The play of light and shadow combined with colored inserts in the facings give additional expressiveness to the facades,» says Kuznetsov.

The shape of the building also made it possible to clearly separate the streams of students by age. One group will study in one «petal», and the other group — in the second. In addition to the classrooms, the school will have a library, studios of free creativity, a studio for painting and music, a laboratory for project activities.

In total, the building has four floors. Exact address of the building: 7/16 Rechnikova str. Designed by: IP Korolev B.E. Commissioner: OOO Rechnikov Invest.
