Office and Shopping Center, Part of TPU Nagatinskaya to Be Decorated with Media Facade in Form of Wave
The complex will combine Nizhniye Kotly railway platform, Nagatinskaya metro station of Serpukhovsko-Timiryazevskaya line and stops of urban land transport. This was announced by Chief Architect of Moscow, First Deputy Chairman of Moskomarkhitektura Sergey Kuznetsov.
«The office and shopping center based on the project of the architectural bureau Creative Production Union PRIDE will become a link between three modes of transport: railway, metro and buses. A transit gallery with shops will pass through the entire complex, the underground levels will accommodate a parking lot. The building will be decorated with a media façade with LEDs fixed on a mesh of metal cables. This design does not reduce visibility and does not interfere with sunlight entering the premises,» Sergey Kuznetsov explained.
The architectural appearance of the sixteen-story building is a smooth glass volume with rounded corners. The decoration will use modern technological materials: aluminum profiles with double-glazed windows and metal cassettes. An exploitable roof with a view of the Varshavskoe highway is designed at the 11th floor. A
ccording to the architects’ plan, this place should become not only a transport hub, but also a leisure center for local residents. The structure of the complex with a total area of about 230 thousand sq. m will include an intercepting parking lot, offices, a shopping mall, cafés, restaurants, a 1080-seat multiplex cinema, a fitness center with a swimming pool and spa, a universal hall where one can hold conferences for 1170 people or arrange banquets for 650 guests.
