Moskomarkhitektura approved 22 sports facilities during 2018
Moskomarkhitektura has approved 22 sports facilities during 2018. Chief Architecture of Moscow Sergey Kuznetsov told about it, stating that the most of new sporting facilities will appear in the Eastern district of the capital.
“Development of sports infrastructure within easy reach from the house is extremely important for the whole urban environment. A list of projects approved by us is pretty diverse: from sports schools to health-improvement facilities for everyone. There should also be mentioned three stadiums – particularly Olimp, which mayor Sergey Sobyanin called the most up-to-date football arena in Moscow,” Sergey Kuznetsov added.
In total, Moskomarkhitektura issued 22 architectural and urban planning solutions. 5 sites out of which are located in the Eastern Administrative District, four in the South-Eastern Administrative District and North-Eastern Administrative District each, three will be built in North-Western Administrative District, two in the Central Administrative District and Zelenograd Administrative District each. One each sports facility will appear in the Western and Southern Administrative Districts.
Among approved projects there will be a sports complex with a swimming pool on Izmailovsky Boulevard that will be erected for School of Olympic Reserve. The façade of the building will stand out against the surrounding development: it will be faced with red, orange and pink panels interspersing with panoramic glazing.
Another building that will stand out against the surrounding development is a multifunctional sports centre in Tushino. The building facades will create an illusion of 3D space. This visual effect will be reached through the use of vertical metal fins up to 18 meters in height of yellow, white, and grey colors. They will be secured on the southern, northern and western sides of the building. Such architectural solution will add some airiness to the appearance of the sports complex. Besides, fins will serve as window-blinds, shading windows of the building from the direct sunlight. The same 3d façade, imitating wood, will get the sports and fitness centre in Zelenograd.
