Launch of the Moscow cable car

A new cableway connecting the Luzhniki sports complex and Sparrow Hills has been commissioned today. Now it only takes five minutes to get from the observation deck to Luzhniki, while it takes 20 minutes to get there by car.
The 720-meter route has three stops: Vorobyovy Gory (Sparrow Hills - upper), Novaya Liga and Luzhniki (lower). 35 cars will be running here.
Two routes have been developed: the touristic one (Vorobyovy Gory - Luzhniki) and the sportive one (Vorobyovy Gory - Novaya Liga). The first rout has closed cars with bicycle racks. Each car can transport up to eight passengers.
Tinted-glass cars protect riders from bad weather and the sun and are LED-illuminated on the edges. A multilanguage audio tour guide is installed in all cars.
