In winter, new skating rinks may be built on the embankments near ZIL. «New ice rinks might appear in winter on the reconstructed embankments near the area of the former Likhachev plant (ZIL),» says Sergey Kuznetsov, Chief Architect of Moscow.
«Now we are considering the all-season strategy. There will be a long embankment — 3.8 km long, in the ZIL’s former industrial zone. We are thinking about putting several attractions there, such as, a skating-rink, for example, for the winter period,» said Kuznetsov, as City News Agency «Moscow» reported.
Within the scope of development of the ZIL’s site the reconstructions of the embankments of Krutitskaya, Simonovskaya, Marc Chagall are underway. It will be recalled that today Sergey Sobyanin, Mayor of Moscow, has inaugurated Likhachev Avenue on the ZIL and the highway-over crossing over Moscow Central Circle.
