Houses with a Golden Arch and Ceramic Hares to Appear on ZIL
Three houses with unusual architecture will be built on Marc Chagall Embankment as part of the ZILART residential complex. One of the buildings will be decorated with a 22-meter golden arch, and the other - with figures of ceramic hares. This was told by Chief Architect of Moscow, First Deputy Chairman of Moskomarkhitektura Sergey Kuznetsov.
This relates to buildings No. 11, 12 and 13 as part of the Zilart residential complex. Several architectural bureaus worked on their appearance at the same time: “Tsimailo Lyashenko & Partners ", Buromoscow, Sergey Skuratov Architects, Meganom and URBIS-SPB.
“The construction is being carried out in two stages, and first houses No.11 and No.12 will be built. The first one will be a 15-storey building made of light bricks with a 22-meter «golden» arch, and with decorative elements made of metal of the same shade. The second block is four multi-storey buildings with burgundy-brown facades decorated with masks of ceramic hares. As you know, the construction of Marc Chagall Embankment is almost complete. A first-class comfortable space for sports and recreation with restaurants, cafes, walking areas and cycling paths is being created here, so the buildings overlooking the river should be as interesting as possible," Sergey Kuznetsov explained.
At the second stage, house No. 13 will be built with clinker brick finishing, also facing the embankment. It includes a separate three-story block for a kindergarten for 120 children.
Under all three buildings there will be a one-level underground parking for about 600cars.
