FORT Yasenevo Shopping Center Awaits Reconstruction

Moskomarkhitektura approved the reconstruction of the FORT Shopping and Entertainment Center in Yasenevo. The building will receive modern facades, as well as a more functional layout. This was announced by Chief Architect of Moscow Sergey Kuznetsov.

“Following the Europolis Shopping Center on Prospect Mira, it was decided to renew the Shopping Center in Yasenevo. Their appearances make a depressing impression, and the need for reconstruction is long overdue. The FORT Shopping Center will receive dynamic facades - lamellas will decorate the building along the perimeter, and special boxes for advertising will be used with good effect with the help of architectural lighting and coloring their contours in yellow. This color will also become the main one in the design of the central entrance group, which will really resemble the entrance to the fortress”- said Sergey Kuznetsov.

The alternation of metal lamellas of different heights and configurations, as well as several modes of facade lighting, will enrich the architectural appearance of the building with strict cubic volumes. The existing entrance will be completely dismantled and replaced by a semicircular stained-glass window structure. The name of the shopping center will also be written with effect - each letter will be placed on a separate round light box to give greater expressiveness.

FORT Yasenevo (former Golden Babylon Yasenevo) is located at 11 Novoyasenevsky Prospekt. The total area of the complex is about 20 thousand square meters.
