The building of Varshava in the northern part of Moscow will be renovated: on the site of the old cinema house there will be a district gastronomic hub, said the Chief Architect of Moscow Sergey Kuznetsov.

After the renovation, Varshava will become a gastronomic hub with food concepts from the best restaurateurs and foodies of Moscow, with culinary master classes and a farmer’s market. Varshava district hub will become a great place for socializing with good cafes and restaurants, for family leisure at culinary master classes, for discovering a variety of gourmet kiosks, for joining food events and learning about new trends and cuisines of the world.

— Finding attractions on the periphery of the city is a thousand times more difficult than in the downtown area. The renovated Varshava will host thematic seasonal fairs and entertainment events, workshops and master classes for different age groups. In accordance with the policy of the mayor Sergey Sobyanin, Varshava will not only be a place of cultural development, but will also help small businesses and entrepreneurs. All premises will be adapted for low-mobility groups of citizens. Earlier Moskomarkhitektura issued an architectural and town-planning resolution for this project, — said Kuznetsov.

The main entrance will be located on the side of Staropetrovsky proyezd passage. On the ground floor, there will be cafes, farmer’s stores and gourmet kiosks, the underground floor will have a supermarket. The first floor will have a food hall and space for social events. One can get from one floor to another by escalators. During the reconstruction, the existing brick walls will be preserved, the facade will be clad with hinged ceramic panels with built-in lighting.

The total area of the building is more than 6 thousand square meters. In total, ADG group will turn 39 old Moscow cinemas into multi-functional public district hubs. Approximately 30 projects have already received approval from the Committee on Architecture and Urban Planning of Moscow.
