Equestrian Center with Swimming Pool and Shooting Gallery to be Built in the North-East of Moscow

An equestrian center with a swimming pool, a fencing gym and a shooting gallery will be built in the North-Eastern Administrative District. The three-story building will appear not far from the Olympic Reserve Sports School Severny. The design project of the multifunctional sports center was approved by Moskomarkhitektura.

“The upper floors facades will be covered in decorative metal plates of yellow, pink, blue, green, and purple shades. These plates will protect the gyms, which should not be hot and stuffy, from the sunlight. The ground floor will be decorated with stained glass. Natural light will enter the equestrian arena and swimming area through the windows” said the Chief Architect of Moscow, Sergey Kuznetsov, Mos.ru. reports.

The total area of the equestrian arena, including show jumping space, will make 1 400 square meters. Next to it one will find a stall for 40 horses, a washer for animals, veterinarian offices, a horse shoeing space, coaching halls and storage rooms for sports equipment.

In addition, a 50-meter swimming pool will be built on the ground floor of the sports center. There will also be a solarium, a sauna and a café for visitors. A medical office, changing rooms and shower rooms will be built and equipped as well.

On the first floor classes in archery, laser and pneumatic guns shooting will be held. And the second floor will be occupied by a multifunctional gym with an area of almost 3.5 thousand square meters. Here it is planned to organize fencing trainings and competitions. A referees’ box and spectators’ stand for 300 people will appear there. In addition, a 200-meter long running track will be created and equipped.

Trees, bushes and flowers will be planted around the sports center. The territory will be provided with open parking lots for cars and buses.

According to Sergey Kuznetsov, people will be able to visit the new sports center as a family. It will also host city, national and international pentathlon competitions.
