Bright-Red Kindergarten to be Built in Residential Complex on Shelepikhinskaya Embankment

A kindergarten in bright-red colors is going to be built in the Heart of the Capital residential complex on Shelepikhinskaya Embankment. According to the First Deputy Chairman of Moskomarkhitektura, Chief Architect of Moscow Sergey Kuznetsov, the kindergarten will be designated for 225 children.

“In this project, the authors decided to use red color as a symbol of the heart, the center of life for children living in the area. Individual projects for kindergartens in new residential complexes have long been the trend, and some of them are really vivid examples of high-quality architecture. Integrated development of territories has long been the main priority of urban development in the capital, and Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin has repeatedly talked about this” - said Sergey Kuznetsov.

The kindergarten will be located in a residential complex under construction at the address: 1, Shenogina Street, Shelepikhinskaya Embankment, block 34. Its total area will be more than 3100 square meters.

The three-story kindergarten is designated for 9 groups of 25 children of all ages. Closer to the ground floor there will be medical and recreational and auxiliary facilities, and the first and second floors will house a developing and training unit. It will include a music room, a gym and rooms for various clubs, which can be united into a single structure. On the territory there will be game zones for each group.

The kindergarten will be faced with glazed scarlet clinker tiles from outside. Large red areas will include dark panels and stained glass windows. The basement of the building will be finished in the same shades. Finishing sectors will be human-scaled, and the general shape of the building will highlight the entrance groups.
