TPO PRIDE has developed a project for the architectural and functional reconstruction of the building of Mosgorgeotrest State Budgetary Institution on Leningradsky Prospekt. The elements lost during the fire will be restored and details to emphasize the elegant classical facades and modernize them a bit will be added. This was announced by Chief Architect of Moscow Sergey Kuznetsov.

«The PRIDE team is working on a project for the reconstruction of Mosgorgeotrest building on Leningradsky Prospekt, including interior solutions. Damaged elements of the facade will be replaced with similar ones, made according to laser measurements from glass fiber reinforced concrete. During the restoration of the stained-glass windows, the historical deglazing will be preserved,» said Sergey Kuznetsov, who personally oversees the project.

The building of Mosgorgeotrest State Budgetary Institution (Leningradsky Prospekt, 11, building 1) was built in 1929. It originally had three floors and was made in the style of constructivism according to the project of A.V. Yuganov, created for Mosproekt design office. Later, it repeatedly underwent changes, and in 1957 the former «Mosproektovsky» house was built up to seven floors and rebuilt in the style of Soviet neoclassicism according to the project of A.V. Kurnosov for Mosgorgeotrest.

In 2020, there was a serious fire that quickly spread through the hardwood floors of the building. During reconstruction, the external appearance of the building will be preserved as much as possible. Also, experts will strengthen the building’s structure and increase its height to nine floors. The main entrance to the building will be slightly shifted to make the façade designed in a classical structure more expressive. And, in accordance with the adopted planning decisions, the overbuilt floors, lined with graphite-colored metal panels, as well as decorative elements and stained-glass windows frames, will add graphic quality to the existing facade, emphasizing its elegant classical structure. «Bringing new life into an old building is always a challenge for the team.

Metal panels, high stained-glass windows, updated fittings will add modern technology to the look of the building, which will undoubtedly enliven the facade. Interior solutions organically complement the concept. We bring the maximum amount of light and air into the space and at the same time create a concise image. Light shades of finishing materials will set you up for productive work, and the structure and logic of spaces will create a feeling of lightness and permeability,» commented TPO PRIDE.
