A Kindergarten Designed by Andrei Asadov Bureau Will Be Built in Pokrovskoe-Streshnevo

Moskomarkhitektura approved a kindergarten project for 300 children in Pokrovskoe-Streshnevo. According to Chief Architect of Moscow Sergey Kuznetsov, one of the features of the building will be a sloping roof.

«We approved another good social object — a kindergarten for 300 children, which will be built in Pokrovskoe-Streshnevo, on Letnaya street, building 95B. It will have concise forms, interesting solutions for facades and roofing. The project was done by the bureau of Andrey Asadov. I’m sure that by the end of the implementation we will receive not only an educational institution, but also a quality element of the future urban environment» — Sergey Kuznetsov wrote on his twitter.

The facility will be located at Letnaya street, building 95B. Its total area will be about 3800 square meters. On the one side, the future pedestrian boulevard, from which visitors can enter the territory, is adjacent to the kindergarten site. Therefore, the building will serve as a kind of buffer between the highway and a quiet pedestrian zone. The kindergarten is designed for 12 groups of children of different ages. Group cells are provided for them — they occupy most of the area.

In addition, the building will house a medical unit, a speech therapist and a psychologist’s office, two gyms, an office for practicing music and study groups. On the territory there are playgrounds with awnings for games and walks. Visually, the kindergarten will be divided into two blocks, in particular, this is highlighted by the color scheme of the facades. The walls will be decorated in terracotta and yellow shades, and combined with metal inserts on the windows.
