Submission of Applications for the Moscow Architectural Award to Start on December 1
Acceptance of applications for the Moscow City Prize in the field of architecture and urban planning (Moscow Architectural Award-2021) starts on December 1 2020. This was announced by Chief Architect of Moscow Sergey Kuznetsov.
«The winners will be selected among the projects that received their architectural and urban planning solutions this year. There are many interesting competing objects among them, so the fight for the prize promises to be exciting. Acceptance of applications starts on December 1, they can be submitted electronically to the official website until February 15 2021,» noted Sergey Kuznetsov.
Projects that have received certificates of architectural and urban planning solutions issued and approved in the period from January 1 to December 31, 2020 are accepted for consideration. In accordance with the Regulations on the Prize, an application can be submitted by an organization, public association, creative union, author or group of authors of materials that received architectural and urban planning solutions. The awarding and announcement of the results of the Award is annually timed to coincide with the celebration of the Architect’s Day on July 1.
The prize can be awarded to an author or to a group of authors whose contribution to the work was decisive. The best projects are determined by an expert jury headed by Chief Architect of Moscow Sergey Kuznetsov. The winners receive up to 5 prizes in the amount of 1 million rubles each. Moscow City Prize for Architecture and Urban Planning (Moscow Architectural Award) was established in 2017 with support of the Mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin.
The award is presented for the development of the most expressive, original, high-quality architectural and urban solutions of capital construction projects, the implementation of which meets the challenges of creating a comfortable urban environment and contributes to the future development of the construction industry in Moscow.
