Residential complex will appear on the site of a former brick factory
The Architectural Council of Moscow approved the project of a residential complex with an underground parking and a training center in Academicheskiy district in the south-west of Moscow.
The residential complex will be in 700 meters from Akademicheskaya station of Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya metro line, at the intersection of Novocheryomushkinskaya and Dmitriya Ulyanova str. Earlier there was Cheryomushkinsky brick factory here that had grown from a nineteenth century company. The transformation of the area began with the demolition of the factory in the late 1950s — early 1960s. Then, there was a massive block construction in the area. Now there are low-rise buildings to be demolished.
The architects adhered to the principle of block structure, where the courtyard is a living public space without cars, with walk-through passages on the ground level, so that the tenants can immediately get either to the outer perimeter of the building, the street, or go for a walk into the yard. Cars can be left in the underground parking with a capacity of 650 cars, the access will be at Novocheremushkinskaya street.
The area of the new residential complex will be 105 thousand square meters. On the first floors, there will be public areas, a training center, above — the apartments, and on the upper floors — penthouses.
The buildings will not exceed 21 floors (75 meters), the main dominant with be a tower on the corner of two streets. It was suggested to clad the facades with Flemish bricks and steelwork.
