Yuliana Knyazhevskaya appointed Chairman of the Committee for Architecture and Urban Planning of Moscow

Yuliana Knyazhevskaya is the new Chairman of the Committee for Architecture and Urban Planning of Moscow. In accordance with the decree by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin on April 30, 2014 № 334 — PM a service contract with Yuliana Knyazhevskaya was concluded for the term of office of Moscow’s mayor. Previously Yuliana Knyazhevskaya served as First Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Architecture and Urban Planning of Moscow.

Yuliana Knyazhevskaya was born in 1976 in Moscow. In 2002 she graduated from the Moscow State Law Academy. In 1993-1998 she worked in the Lublinsky and Kuntsevsky district courts of Moscow. In 2003-2006 she worked as a legal adviser in the government agency Design Preparation and Approval Directorate of the Committee for Architecture and Urban Planning of Moscow. She has worked in the administration of the Committee for Architecture and Urban Planning since July 2012. Since October 25, 2012, she served as Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Architecture and Urban Planning, and since April 3, 2014 as First Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Architecture and Urban Planning. As Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Architecture and Urban Planning she was responsible for ensuring the adoption of the Committee’s decisions on the preparation and approval of urban plans for land property and for the operation of the Service “single window” of the Committee.

Andrey Antipov, who served as Chairman of the Committee for Architecture and Urban Planning of Moscow since 2012, in accordance with the decree by the Moscow Mayor, № 331- РМ on April 29, 2014, he was relieved from his post and dismissed from civil service of the city of Moscow by agreement of the parties.

The positions of chairman of the Committee for Architecture and Urban Planning of Moscow and the chief architect of Moscow have been divided since 2012. Sergey Kuznetsov has been the chief architect of Moscow since 2012.
