Moscow Ranked Sixth in World Best Cities Report

Moscow ranked sixth in the World Best Cities report published by Resonance Consultancy international agency. The rating organizers especially noted Zaryadye Park, the renovated Luzhniki Stadium, as well as Moscow museums, creative spaces and the My Street program, said Moscow Chief Architect Sergei Kuznetsov.

«It is very pleasant to see Moscow on the first lines of world ratings, and we are really happy about this. This means that we are objectively moving in the right direction. The authors of the study took into account a whole range of factors: from a comfortable environment to the iconic places, Zaryadye being one of them, and to local institutions. I am sure that this is not our last victory» - said Sergey Kuznetsov.

Attractiveness was calculated by the researchers on the grounds of six parameters — promotion, comfort of the place, infrastructure and interesting places, business, people, and entertainment. Moscow was ranked first in terms of the number of places worth visiting. Numerous museums, both classical and modern, built by the classics of Soviet and new architecture, were especially appreciated. Also, analysts drew attention to the new public spaces of the city. Zaryadye Park, which has become a multi-layered place of attraction in the very center of the city, is especially outstanding in this regard. In addition, the My Street program has made the city more oriented to pedestrians.

«Interest in Moscow is growing — not only we ourselves, but also the authors of the study say that. According to the number of requests, it takes 14th place in the world. A separate role in this was played by the World Cup. Plus, Moscow has always been convenient for a visit — separately they noted the connectivity of airports, while the metro and its development has long been the object of envy for many world capitals» - said Kuznetsov.
