The facades of residential house No. 14 at ZIL will have an interesting architectonics - one building will be faced with panels imitating Byzantine ornament, the second one will be decorated with “wave-like” alternating elements made of decorative plaster. This was told by Chief Architect of Moscow, First Deputy Chairman of Moskomarkhitektura Sergey Kuznetsov.

House No. 14 with a total area of about 30 thousand square meters is being built by LSR Group between Rodchenko and Architect Shchusev streets. The project was developed by the architectural bureaus of Sergey Skuratov and URBIS, but the facade solutions belong to the workshop of Ilya Utkin and DNK ag.

“The complex consists of two buildings of different heights and number of storeys, and, in the best traditions of ZILART, its own architectural bureau is responsible for each. Both objects are quite interesting. For example, building 14.2 will be clad on the outside with light-colored panels imitating the masonry of huge stone blocks. Architect Ilya Utkin decided to work with a Byzantine ornament that resembles cross-stitch embroidery. And from the side of the courtyard, the wall cladding will be made of clinker bricks in terracotta shades” - said Sergey Kuznetsov.

Building 14.2 has an L-shape. The main finishing materials are fiber-reinforced concrete panels with decorative patterns and facing bricks. There are also French balconies with external metal railing, inscribed in the general rhythmic pattern of the facades.

Building 14.1, consisting of a 16-storey section and a one-storey building for commercial space, will have “wave-like” facades. From the 6th to the 16th floor, the decoration will be done using decorative plaster. The facades are designed with a significant glazing area.

All ground floors of the complex are intended for commercial premises and have separate entrances from the projected driveways and the pedestrian zone.

Under the territory of the quarter, an underground one-level parking lot with a capacity of 119 cars is designed. Entry and exit of vehicles to the underground parking lot will be carried out on a double-track covered ramp from the side of Architect Shchusev Street. On the minus first level, there are also technical rooms, individual storerooms for residents and a car wash for two posts. A landscaped courtyard with a playground and a recreation area for adults will be organized on the roof of the parking lot.

LSR Group has now started to construct the foundation slab of the fourteenth building of the ZILART residential complex. The completion of construction is scheduled for the 4th quarter of 2023.
