Façade of Zemelny Business Center Beautified with Greenery in Singaporean Style
On July 8, a deciduous woody vine was planted on the facades of Zemelny, a new business center located in the Presnensky District. The ceremony was attended by Chief Architect of Moscow Sergey Kuznetsov.
«Zemelny Business Center with vertical gardening of the facade acquired its final appearance. The building is undoubtedly a landmark for Moscow. It is the world’s first business center with a vertical garden at 55th north latitude. At the same time, taking into account our climate, the architects did not use tropical plants or large trees. In the diagonal „cells“ on the facade, vines have „settled“, which will change the appearance of the tower depending on the season. Thegreenedareais 2,400 sq.m» — saidSergeyKuznetsov.
«We were inspired by the experience of Singapore» — says Yuliy Borisov, head of the UNK group of companies. «Despite the fact that vertical greening is a common practice there, each building looks unique because nature never repeats itself. Vertical greening is one of the ways to create a comfortable „natural“ environment in the highly urbanized business district of the city. The increase in the area of green spaces on the site several times allowed us to increase the amount of oxygen produced, respectively, to improve the ecology of the city, to create a new point of attraction for the area, where a spectacular building and its interiors reflect our vision of the architecture of the future, where technology and nature are in harmony.»
Green spaces are not the only attraction of the new complex. The 15-storey skyscraper is «covered» with an openwork diagonal lattice metal shell, reminding of another Moscow architectural masterpiece — the famous Shukhov Tower. «The new building should become not only the architectural dominant of the area, but also a new landmark that will delight Muscovites and visitors to the capital» — said Chief Architect of Moscow Sergey Kuznetsov.
Zemelny business center with a total area of 39.2 thousand square meters is located in the 1st Zemelny lane, near Ulitsa 1905 Goda metro station. In addition to the metro, transport accessibility is provided by an exit to Zvenigorodskoe highway, TRR, Krasnopresnenskaya embankment. The Moscow City business district is located in close proximity.
The tower is situated on the stylobate, where shops and dining spots will be located, as well as halls for various events. The fenced area provides a well-maintained recreation zone. On the underground floors of the building there is a parking lot for 370 cars with the possibility of charging electric vehicles. The facility was commissioned in 2020. The new business center will house the office of the developer itself, that is Aktion Development company. Part of the space will be given for rent.
