«To repair a five-storey building, in principle, for the money it will cost, how to build the same new,» — said the chief architect of Moscow.
«The main problem that the repair cannot be carried out without relocation of people. They need somewhere to settle, invest money as much as the construction of a new building for the repair, and most importantly, the question remains — why do it», — said Kuznetsov.
Moscow mayor Sergei Sobyanin on Tuesday at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the city authorities are ready to develop the law for the new program of demolition of dilapidated five-story building. He noted that he sees financial opportunities Moscow has to run the program.
Currently in Moscow, completes the program of demolition of dilapidated five-story building, involving the demolition 1722 buildings of the first period of industrial housing (1959-1966 years) with a total area of 6.3 million square meters. Only the capital left to carry 71 five-storey building, the program is scheduled for completion in 2017-2018.
