Podari Zhizn («Give Life») Charity Foundation ordered the construction of a recreation center for children suffering from oncohematological diseases in Peredelkino cottage complex located in Moscow Region. The project developed by the architectural studio Rozhdestvenka was approved by Moskomarkhitektura, as reported by the Chief Architect of Moscow Sergey Kuznetsov.

The building is designed in the shape of sand-alone interlocked cottages for 140 families. The designed buildings are part of the 18-19-century Usadba Izmalkovo complex adapted for recreational function. The new construction will occupy a limited area of 1.37 hectares bordering on structures of cultural heritage.

«The project of the recreation center was developed by the architectural studio „Rozhdestvenka“ based on the 2014 concept,» said Sergey Kuznetsov, «It proposes a family accommodating system that is optimum considering the international experience of rehabilitation centers. Besides, the architectural-planning solutions closely interact with the farmstead and fit the structural typology of the farmstead building.»

The total area of the building is going to be 6419 square meters. There will be six types of two-storeyed cottages. All of them envisage preservation of the scenery of the farmstead.

«In the design of the recreation center, conventional wooden architecture and old cottage buildings are used, such as the span roof, as well as a variety of solutions of façade silhouettes, verandas, porches, balconies, and traditional plank siding,» said Kuznetsov.

The design solutions of the cottages are going to have an optimum layout for families, with accommodation in three bedrooms around one common kitchen. For the playing area, there are glazed heated verandas with an entrance to the terraces opening onto the courtyard. Landscaping will be made by ARTEZA.

Decorative suspended wooden panels creating a see-through pattern will be a characteristic of the cottages. Instead of blinds, glazed verandas will have carved wooden panels. One of the active participants of the recreation center project is a co-founder of Podari Zhizn Charity Foundation, Chulpan Khamatova.

Podari Zhizn is a non-governmental charity foundation created to help children suffering from oncological, hematological and other serious diseases. Its founders are the actresses Dina Korzun and Chulpan Khamatova.
