Moskomarkhitektura suggested creating parks in place of demolished buildings
In Moscow, we can plant parks in place of demolished buildings, believes the deputy head of Moskomarkhitektura’s Department for Architectural and Artistic Image, Elena Semenkova.
"We can plant parks in the newly-vacated areas of the city, for example, in place of demolished buildings where nothing can be built – on an artificial foundation. We can create by reformatting. An example is Zaryadye Park,” said Semenkova at a session of the Environmental Commission in the Moscow City Duma.
Head of the Commission Zoya Zotova, in turn, said that this is a good suggestion. “We have new areas that we can innovate on. I think that it is necessary to attract business circles to this plan,” said Zotova.
