Moscow City Architecture Committee Has Approved the Projects of Two Kindergartens in New Moscow

18 August 2016

Certificates of approval of architectural and urban planning solution are designed for the projects of preschool facilities in Rumyantsevo and Kokoshkino which are distinguished by interesting facade solutions, as the Chief Architect of Moscow Sergey Kuznetsov informed.

A kindergarten for 200 seats in the new residential area near the village of Rumyantsevo (Novomoskovsky Administrative Okrug, Moskovsky settlement, lot No. 17/1) was developed by Project 2018 LLC. According to Sergey Kuznetsov, the architects came up with a rather non-standard solution for facades of the building offering to line them with metal panels with a diagonal cover fillet and accent frames of aquapanel with paint coating. The kindergarten’s uniqueness is also ensured by the inclined roofing used in the project with a decorative purpose — it hides all the technical equipment underneath. The total area of the building is 2700 square meters.

A kindergarten in the village of Kokoshkino (Shkolnaya Street 3) is designed by Bristol-Project LLC and has the capacity to accommodate 300 children. The kindergarten has the form of a compact rectangle with protruding staircase blocks accented by the tone of facing plates. The total area is 4580 sq.m.

“The residents of New Moscow are timely provided with schools and kindergartens under the program implemented by the city government headed by Sergey Sobyanin, and the projects, which we approve, correspond to a certain level of quality, regardless of whether they are being built in New or Old Moscow. Our goal is to enable children who in general face the public institutions for the first time to memorize the building of their first kindergarten, school, their district, as the targeted orientation forms quite a different attitude to the city”, — said Sergey Kuznetsov.
