Designs for Three Stations of Kalininsko-Solntsevskaya Line Approved

The metro stations “Minskaya”, “Lomonosovsky Prospekt” and “Ramenki” of Kalininsko-Solntsevskaya line will be in the same style, reported the Chief Architect of Moscow Sergey Kuznetsov. The design projects have been examined and approved by Architecture Committee of Moscow, announces portal mos.ru.

All three stations are included into the section of yellow line prolongation, heading to the district Ochakovo, from the “Park Pobedy” station towards the “Ramenki” station.

“Architectural treatment of the stations, which, after Mayor Sergey Sobyanin, are going to be opened this year, are subject to the unified concept, — said Kuznetsov. — As the main visual emphasis serves graphic compositions on the columns in the centre of the platform hall. They will be performed on the metal-ceramic panels and placed on the edges of the columns, facing ticket hall area, and creating effect of paintings flow in a perspective. For „Lomonosovsky Prospekt“, located near MSU, the theme will be numbers, for „Minskaya“ — images of military equipment, as there is a Museum of the Great Patriotic War located nearby, and for „Ramenki„ abstract silhouettes of trees on the peaceful green background were chosen“.

Also, thematic zones with paintings are designated in halls, over the stair approaches and escalator runs. Facing of tunnel walls and ceilings will be made of aluminum panels with stainless steel surface.

„Glass kiosks, covering stair approaches to stations, as well as ventilation kiosks will also be constructed in a unified style — two-colored, in the form of compositions of rectangular volumes of various size with flat roof, — added Kuznetsov. — They will be faced with enameled metal-ceramic panels of bright colors combined with gabbro-diabase slabs“.

Directions on the stations will be made in the form of information blocks, linked with passenger benches, and also direction signs on the transparent screens.

Design of the „Lomonosovsky Prospekt“ station was projected by „Mospromproject“ JSC, stations „Minskaya“ and „Ramenki“ were designed by „Metrogiprotrans“ JSC.

As Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Development and Construction Marat Khusnullin said before, the „Minskaya“ station will be integrated into the transfer hub that will consolidate passenger traffics of metro, public transport, and, possibly, of Kiyevsky suburban direction of Moscow Railway.
