14 February 2018

Sergey Kuznetsov, the chief architect of Moscow, will represent the Complex of Urban Development Policy and Construction of Moscow at the 29th international real estate exhibition MIPIM-2018.

Traditionally, a number of business events will take place at the stand of the Government of Moscow with the participation of representatives of the city administration and the leading players of the industry, who were charged with the main vectors of development of the Moscow real estate market. The main items of the agenda this year will be renovation news, the creation of a comfortable urban environment in megacities, as well as the construction of infrastructure facilities and preparation for the World Cup. Conferences on these topics will be held on the first two days of the exhibition, on March 13th and 14th* at the Cannes Festival Palace.

Moreover, within the framework of the exhibition the contest of the best real estate projects MIPIM Awards 2018 is held every year, the short-list of which this year features two Moscow sites: Zaryadye park and Luzhniki stadium. Zaryadye is nominated for The Best Urban Regeneration Project, and Luzhniki got to the final in the nomination Best Restored Site. Please note, that the park Zaryadye has already won the award of the international architectural portal ArchDaily as the best project in the field of public spaces and the 2018 InAVation Award.

“MIPIM is a useful and efficient tool for forming a positive image of Moscow as an actively developing megapolis with a stable market and attracting direct investments,” said Sergey Kuznetsov. “Of a particular importance in this regard is the fact that this year the business program of the exhibition is dedicated to large-scale infrastructure and urban planning projects, and I, as the chief architect of Moscow, have the responsibility to express my position and the position of my colleagues, talk about the work done and share our plans because these projects influence both businesses and residents of Moscow and the whole of Russia.”

In addition, according to Sergey Kuznetsov who oversaw the projects Zaryadye and Luzhniki, it is a great honor for him to see them in the list of finalists of MIPIM Awards. “For three years, I have been participating in the ceremony as a member of the jury, and I know about the high level of the competition. Therefore, I believe that being shortlisted is already a high achievement for our projects. The very fact that Moscow’s public projects entered the international level gives us an additional incentive for trying even harder,” – said the chief architect of Moscow.
