The Final Design for the China Business Center in the North-East of Moscow has been Approved

21 August 2016

The technical plan for the China Business Center “Park Huaming” was examined by the Architectural Council of Moscow in 2013. For economic reasons, the construction of the project was suspended. The final design of the project, which changed the look of the facades, was approved by the Committee for Architecture and Urban Development of Moscow this July.

The project is designed by the company “CU Reserve” under the direction of Vladimir Plotkin. Three years ago it was examined and approved by the Architectural Council. The introduced three-dimensional look has not been changed. A simple expressionistic composition is symmetrical in design and is perceived differently each time you look at it because the whole complex is formed by contrasting pieces different in height and size.

The dominant feature of the complex is the 21-storey office block turned to the North with its semicircular façade, and to the South – the main entrance – with the flat one. Two symmetrical “wings” form the 22-storey building of a five-star hotel located in the park zone and the 12-storey building of the apartment-hotel along Wilhelm Pieck street. The stylobate unites them with the conference center, restaurants, fitness center, and other public facilities. The main entrance is situated on the southern side and is directed towards the landscape park – the China garden-village with small pavilions in the traditional garden and park style.

As compared to the original version, the final project changed the scale and design of the façade net of the buildings. The facades are modular in design, vertical aluminum lamellas painted white or copper form the main architectural element — on the interior surfaces of the hotel building and the apartment hotel. The facing of the blind parts is made of red or orange granite.

As it was previously reported by the press service of the Moscow Committee for the Realization of Construction Investment Projects and Co-Investment Agreements, the period of construction of the Business Center had been extended until 2018.
