Moskomarkhitektura updated the sample design project banners in Moscow
Moskomarkhitektura updated the sample design project banners for the four most frequent requests of business people connected to the placement of banners (information structures).
- A sample design project for banners on shopping malls and entertainment centers, including advertising structures on the roof;
- Sample design project for placement on the external surfaces of buildings included into cultural heritage;
- Sample design project for making changes in the architectural and artistic concept;
- Sample design project for a free-standing information structure.
“As ordered by the Mayor Sergey Sobyanin, the procedure for harmonizing signboards in Moscow was simplified as much as possible. In order to facilitate the preparation of documents required for the public service “Harmonization of the design project for banner placement”, the Architecture and Urban Planning Committee of Moscow developed samples of design projects, which contain information necessary for harmonizing of information structures,"– said the chief architect of Moscow, Sergey Kuznetsov.
“These samples can be used to develop a design project for placing information structures on the external surfaces of shopping malls, entertainment centers, cinemas, theaters, circuses, for placing a stand-alone information structure, and also as a model, if necessary, for making changes to the approved architectural and artistic solution. There used to be a unified example of information structures. For the convenience of the business community, it was decided to make individual examples of four the most common requests”, – said the deputy chairman of the Committee on Architecture and Urban Planning of the city of Moscow Tatyana Guk.
Moreover, the approved samples of design projects contain information necessary to harmonize information structures on the external surfaces of buildings included into cultural heritage, identified cultural heritage sites and sites located within the boundaries of cultural heritage sites.
For example, there are certain requirements for photographs that an entrepreneur can provide for obtaining a public service. The photographs must provide a clear demonstration of the proposed location of the banner and other structures located on the external surfaces of the building. It is not allowed for the placed banner to block the view of vehicles, for example. Photos must be made no earlier than two months before applying for state services.
To summarize, the public service “Harmonization of the design project for banner placement” is provided by the Moscow Architecture Agency in accordance with the Resolution of the Government of Moscow No. 902-PP of December 25, 2013, “On placement of information structures in the city of Moscow.” The Moskomarkhitektura’s Office of Public Services for the Integrated Improvement presided by Tatyana Guk is in charge of reviewing the banner design projects.
